Johnson County School District is thrilled to announce that one of our student board members, Constance Martin, has been selected to join the Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE) Commissioner's Student Advisory Council for the 2023-2024 school year.


This prestigious appointment recognizes Constance's exceptional contributions to our local school district and validates her commitment to educational excellence, community service, and leadership. It is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and embodying our school's motto: to love, learn, lead, and leave a legacy.

Constance's selection to the KDE's Student Advisory Council is a tremendous yet well-deserved honor," stated  Superintendent Thom Cochran of Johnson County Schools. "She has consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to her peers and our school community. Her leadership, passion for learning, involvement in a wide array of school/co-curricular activities, and dedication to serving others truly embody our school's core values. The KDE Commissioner's Student Advisory Council is a group of students selected from across the state to provide input on the state's educational system. Council members participate in discussions with the KDE Commissioner and other education officials on various topics, providing a crucial student perspective to the decision-making process.


Constance's appointment to the Council is a personal accomplishment and an achievement for Johnson County Schools, as it highlights our commitment to fostering student leaders who are dedicated to making a difference in their communities.
