Johnson County Schools would like to congratulate Mr. Chris Pierce on his new position as the Student Success Coordinator within the US DOJ BJA STOP Grant!
Beginning July 1, Mr. Pierce will transition to this new position, where he will focus on training personnel and educating students on preventing school violence, promoting strategies to improve school climate, and improving the district crisis safety plan. Among other things, Mr. Pierce will focus a great deal of his time on improving student attendance at the elementary level.
Mr. Pierce is a lifelong resident of Johnson County, a graduate of the Johnson County School System, and has been employed by Johnson County Schools for the past 23 years. He has served in many capacities, most recently as Flat Gap Elementary Principal for the past 7 years. Mr. Pierce also worked at Central Elementary and W.R. Castle as an assistant principal for one year and as an elementary teacher before becoming an assistant principal. Chris was named 2021 KASA Building Level Administrator of the Year and is Certified Leadership Challenge Facilitator. Congratulations, Mr. Pierce!
