Mr. Michael Conley, a Johnson County native, has dedicated eight years to Johnson County School District. As a 2009 Johnson Central High School graduate, his community roots run deep. He furthered his education at the University of Pikeville, earning a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Learning and Behavior Disorders from the University of the Cumberlands. His commitment to education led him to attain his Rank 1/Educational Specialist Degree in Principalship from the same institution.
His passion for education is a family affair, as both his parents were employed by Johnson County School District. His mother, Debbie, was a cherished speech pathologist at Central Elementary until her untimely passing in 2001. His father, Delbert, held various positions before his retirement, including school principal and Director of Pupil Personnel.
Throughout his career, Mr. Conley has served in several capacities, such as a special education teacher, Safe Crisis District trainer, and assistant principal at multiple elementary schools, including Central Elementary, Flatgap Elementary, and WR Castle Elementary. He has been an integral part of the Central Elementary community for his eight-year career.
In 2021, his leadership skills were recognized by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) when he was appointed to their Leadership Committee. As part of the KASA network, he assists with selecting recipients for various distinguished awards.
Mr. Conley's dedication to Central Elementary and the students of Johnson County Schools is embodied in his everyday actions as a school administrator. His work ethic radiates in every facet of his life, illustrating his commitment to education. He eagerly anticipates serving Central Elementary, its students, and the wider community. His objective is to continue the legacy of Eagle leaders who came before him, ensuring high-quality education to all students blessed to be part of the Central Elementary Eagle Family.
