The Johnson County School District's monthly board meeting on August 26th celebrated the outstanding achievements of students, faculty, and staff. Nikki Blevins and Holly Preece received the esteemed Golden Eagle Award, and Johnson Central High School Governor's Scholars were recognized for their exceptional accomplishments.
A significant highlight of the meeting was an announcement from Johnson County Judge Executive Mark McKenzie, in partnership with the Johnson County Fiscal Court, the Johnson County Board of Education, and a local developer. Plans for constructing a 62,500-square-foot facility adjoining the new Johnson Central High School campus were revealed. The upcoming KP Funplex will feature activities for all ages, including 24 bowling lanes, a two-level go-kart track, laser tag, arcade games, 4D and VR gaming experiences, axe throwing, party rooms, and a restaurant. This exciting project will become a vibrant center for entertainment and community gatherings.
Superintendent Cochran's YouTube channel will inform the community of the latest updates on this project and everything happening within Johnson County Schools. Let's embrace these exciting developments together and continue building a brighter future. Let's go, Eagles!
