Impressive Showing at State Student Technology Leadership Competition

The Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) state competition was held at Rupp Arena on April 20th. STLP promotes student achievement and learning through technology-based solutions to support community and school needs.

Students from elementary through high school proudly represented the Johnson County School District. The district had five elementary STLP Project Teams, one middle, and two high school teams qualify for state competition with school and community projects.

Central Elementary’s S.T.O.P. “Slaying The Opioid Problem” and “Highland Elementary’s “Bow Wow Pet Bots” projects both placed in the Terrific Top 20 category. Flat Gap Elementary’s “READER LEADERS,” Highland Elementary’s “A Recipe for Wildcat Success,” and Porter Elementary’s “Crushing COVID Through Kindness (CCTK)” placed in the Best In Level 2 category.

Central Elementary placed 2nd in state with a Digital Product Online Judging (DPOJ) 3-D Art Project.
