The statewide junior ACT is right around the corner! Slated for March 9, all 11th graders in the state of Kentucky are required to take a full ACT exam and it is at no cost to the parents or student.
Scores from this paper and pencil exam are reportable to colleges and used for scholarship determination, class placement, etc. just like any other ACT exam. Kentucky Department of Education uses the scores to determine the academic readiness of our students. They check to see how many students meet or exceed benchmark scores on three of the test components (English-18. math-19, and reading-20).
Current JCHS and Eagle Academy juniors plus seniors who missed the junior ACT last year will all report to school by 8:20 am on March 9 for the exam. Test room assignments and information on how the students pre-register will be released closer to the test date.
