WHY JCHS? We can think of "91" reasons why! Between our FREE "in house" dual credit academy with UPike and our work ready CTE dual credit partnership with Big Sandy and KHEAA, JCHS is proud to offer students 30 dual credit class choices. Below is a list of all of our offerings, and of those 30 classes, 23 of them take place within the halls of Johnson Central with our certified adjunct professors. We are also offering dual credit CHEM 100/101 w/lab this year so now students can get every general education class in math, science, social studies, English, and communications for FREE. That is a $20,000-$30,000 savings on an in-state university. It is definitely a GREAT time to be an EAGLE, so take advantage of #moreopportunity.

BOB HUTCHISON, chairman of the Johnson County Board of Education, went all out to support Johnson Central at the annual KET Summer Celebration held this past weekend in Lexington. This year’s theme for the event was Be True To Your School.
Mr. Hutchison chose to represent JCHS by wearing a complete Golden Eagle baseball uniform. The event featured many notable people from around the state including University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto, who spoke very favorably about the great programs at Johnson Central after his recent trip to tour our school.
In addition to posing for a picture with President Capilouto, Mr. Hutchison also met up with JCHS graduate David Couch at the event. Mr. Couch, who is the Kentucky Associate Commissioner of Education, wore a jersey from his alma mater Army.
Thank you Mr. Hutchison for your overwhelming support of Johnson Central High School and your efforts to promote the great things going on at JCHS!
Students from the JCHS Honor Choir finished their final day of recording solos and duets for their latest project.
All smiles at JCHS 21st CCLC Summer Learning and Enrichment.
Students love solving academic mysteries in the mystery classroom and learning culinary skills with Ms. Angie!
