My class helped me design and set up the aquarium for our new pet. Stan is a Map Turtle and likes minnows and pellet food. He can swim for hours. We learned a lot about their natural habitat, and what to feed them.

📚✨ Marvelous Monday in Mrs. Spradlin’s Class! ✨📚 Today was full of learning and laughter! In math, we dove into more guided notes and sharpened our skills with some Khan Academy practice 💻✏️ — exploring the world of decimals, fractions, and percents! 🧠➗💯 Then in Language Arts, we kicked off our novel study of Wonder by R.J. Palacio — and what a hit! 🎧📖 We followed along in our own copies while listening to the audiobook on YouTube. The kids couldn’t stop laughing at the book’s funniest moments — and neither could I! 😂💙 There’s truly nothing better than seeing students fall in love with reading. Watching them connect, laugh, and engage with a great story makes my teacher heart so happy! 🥰📚💫

Today, Mrs. Staniford’s ELA classes engaged in an in-depth analysis of song lyrics to identify various forms of figurative language. Students collaborated to highlight and examine how these literary devices enhance meaning, evoke emotion, and create vivid imagery within the text. Keep up the good work, Eagles! 🦅 📝 #JCMSStrong #Eagle4Life

🎉 What an AWESOME day in Mrs. Spradlin’s classroom! 🎉 We kicked off our morning diving into fractions and decimals in math 🧮. The class took guided notes like pros and tackled practice problems with confidence—these mathematicians are really getting the hang of it! 🙌 In Social Studies, we took on some challenging (and exciting!) Ancient Rome vocabulary 🏛️—from plebeians to Pax Romana, and even mosaics! Thanks to all the fun Blooket games we’ve played this week, these tricky terms are starting to stick! 🧠💥 Science time brought even more fun as we watched a BrainPOP and wrapped up organizing our notebooks 🧪📓. There were laughs, learning, and LOTS of “a-ha!” moments throughout the day. It’s always a great day when we’re growing and having fun at the same time! 💡❤️

Adventures in Mrs. Spradlin’s Classroom! Today was packed with fun, learning, and a whole lot of excitement! 🎉 In Math, we went Around the World in an epic Escape Room Challenge 🌎💡—racing against the clock to crack codes and solve tricky order of operations puzzles to unlock all the locks! ⏱️🧠 Our journey was so thrilling, we even had a surprise visit from Mrs. Davis, our principal, who joined in on the adventure! 🏫✨ Then, we dove back into our Parts of Speech with some guided notes and sharpened our organization skills by giving our notebooks a little TLC! 📝 To top it all off, we wrapped up the day with a high-energy Blooket review game to prep for our vocabulary test tomorrow! 🎮📚

✨📚 Kicking Off the School Year with Habit 1! 📚✨ This month, we’re focusing on Habit 1: Be Proactive – I’m in Charge of Me! 💪 Being proactive means taking responsibility for our actions, attitudes, and choices—whether at school, at home, or in the community. Let’s keep the Leader in Me language going beyond the classroom! Talk with your family about ways to Be Proactive every day and utilize the district provided LIM book for teens that was given to every middle schooler: ✅ Make good choices without being asked. ✅ Take care of your responsibilities. ✅ Choose a positive attitude, even when things are tough. Together, we can empower our students to lead themselves first! 🌟 #LeaderInMe #Habit1 #BeProactive #ImInChargeOfMe #LoveLearnLead #JCMSStrong #LeaderinmeSchool

🎉✨ What an exciting day in Mrs. Spradlin’s class! ✨🎉 Our mathematicians got to work this morning diving into the order of operations! 🧮 We solved problems on paper, then double-checked with calculators to see if our answers matched—spoiler alert: they did! ✔️💡 Then it was time to put on our adventurer hats in Language Arts! 🏰🐉 We went on a thrilling quest through a castle guarded by a fierce dragon to find the missing orb—all while mastering our nouns and verbs! 💬🔍 To wrap up our day, we challenged Mr. Daniels to complete the quest… and guess what? We ALL escaped the castle and proved we are officially Noun & Verb Masters! 🙌🎓 And that’s not all—we even got to play Crypto Hack on Blooket to review our Social Studies vocabulary for Friday’s quiz! 🧠💥 The competition was fierce, the learning was fun, and we’re feeling confident and ready! Way to go, team! 🏆📚🔥
