Though this poem stumped us on standards mastery, we showed major growth in interpreting sonnets today. 🌱📚

Congratulations to the October Special Education G.O.A.T., Mrs. Heather Spradlin! Mrs. Spradlin is in her 4th year of teaching. She makes her classroom warm, inviting, and engaging. Last month, Mrs. Spradlin completed a unit over the novel "The Westing Game." She transformed her classroom into an eerie crime scene, complete with caution tape, a musical background and props. The kids were so engaged in the story! Mrs. Spradlin is a wonderful addition to the JCMS staff.
Mrs. Staniford's classes have been hard at work! This week students began reviewing using Quiz-Quiz-Trade.
They were up, moving, and quizzing each other on figurative language and key poetry concepts.

8th Grade Life Skills classes create Anti-Stress posters today after the lesson given from our guest speakers from CAP.
7th graders in Mrs. Smith's class are diving deep into "The Giver" by Lois Lowry this week! Students worked on a Theme Quote Sort Activity, matching key quotes from the novel to major themes like memory, individuality, and freedom of choice.
