Mrs. Watts’ class had a special guest speaker today. Mr. Watts, math professor at BSCTC, shared how math and science are used when creating instruments. After his presentation, students created their own instruments.❤️🐾
Due to illness, the Father Daughter Snowball dance that was scheduled for this Friday will be postponed until NEXT Friday February 23rd from 6-7:30. We look forward to hosting this event next week!
Our panthers worked with the Johnson County Public Library on a very creative activity Wednesday during our P.AW.S after school program.

Mark your calendar!!! The Family Resource Center will be hosting a FREE Father/Daughter Snowball Dance on Friday February 16th from 6-7:30 pm. This will be for any Porter Elementary Girl and their Father/Father Figure. Come dressed in your favorite Princess Attire or in your favorite fancy dress for a night to remember! Also, if any business would like to donate a door prize please contact Erin Caudill. We would love to be able to offer door prizes through the event!

We just want to thank the 4-H extension office and the Johnson County Public Library. Our panthers in the Porter P.A.W.S after school program have been very engaged the last couple of days in your creative activities.
Mrs. Johnson’s second graders entered their classroom to find their chairs on strike! They listened to and discussed the story “Chairs on Strike” by Jennifer Jones. Students then wrote persuasive letters to the chairs for their return. #worldreadaloudday 📚
We would like to invite all our parents to drop by the library on Wednesday night to learn about financial awareness. City National Bank will be with us from 4:00 to 5:00 pm during parent conferences.
