Mrs. Watt's 2nd graders did a Halloween candy sink or float experiment. Happy Halloween 🎃

Mrs. Johnson’s second graders conducted pumpkin investigations today! Students made predictions about the pumpkin’s seed count, circumference, height and weight. Students then compared their predictions to the pumpkin’s actual measurements using comparative clauses. They also had a Halloween celebration with a special snack! Happy Halloween! 🎃

1st graders in Mrs. Bowling's class have had a busy week! They mixed their Art skills with their knowledge of nouns and created a "Noun Town"! They also celebrated good behavior with a popsicle party and practiced matching contractions with a little quiz quiz trade activity!

Don't forget to come out for tonight's final Family Reading Night! We will be at the Mountain Homeplace at 6PM!

We will have our final Family Reading Night this Thursday at the Mountain Homeplace. We will be reading "Smoky Mountain Rose" a book about "when a rich feller from across the creek decides to throw a fancy party to find himself a wife, Rose's stepsisters, Annie and Liza Jane, start dreamin' about becoming his bride. Right and left, they're orderin' Rose around--not even thinkin' that Rose might like to go to the party herself. And on the night of the shindig, Rose finds herself left behind--until one of the hogs comes up to the fence and starts talkin' to her. As it turns out, that hog just happens to know a little bit o' magic..."
We will also have two crafts, Rose's (Cinderella's)dress and a miniature broom. Come join us for the fun!
