Join us for our next FRYSC sponsored grandparent and relative support group! Hidden in Plain Sight is an educational experience that walks you through a typical teenage bedroom. This can give grandparents raising their grandchildren more insight on current trends in youth substance abuse. The program also educates on how to talk with youth if a problem is suspected.

Thank you to Doug from Norton Children’s Hospital for entertaining our 3rd-5th grade students with his bike safety rodeo, teaching them the importance of bike safety!! As a testament to the students and staff of Johnson County... he reported that ours is the friendliest county he visits each year!

Johnson County Schools will be in session Thursday, February 13th operating on a 2 hour delay.

Due to some roads being covered with backwaters and more rain on the way Johnson County Schools will be on a 2 hour delay. This will prevent buses and staff from traveling before daylight and provide additional time to reassess the situation.

It’s Counselor Appreciation Week!! Please join me in letting Mrs. Valeri Breeding know how much we appreciate her at PES!! She is a huge help not only to our students, but to the staff, as well!! She always has a kind smile and the time to listen to any problems. Mrs. Breeding also helps with the Cheer Squad and oversees the Student Lighthouse Team. We are thankful for all she does.
