Students in Mrs. Stewart's Child Services I class completed a mock classroom/office project this week. Students selected a grade level and content, then created a classroom to reflect their choices. Some students in this course are planning to pursue a career in psychology or school counseling; therefore, their projects were mock offices to reflect that.

Miss Angie's Culinary Arts students have been hard at work catering events this week!
These students have been given the full entrepreneurial experience of running a culinary business! When planning for these events, the students will complete everything from start to finish; planning with the customer, creating menu options (typically 3) for the budget provided, creating a grocery order, preparing the meal, setting up at the event, serving, cleaning, and finishing with a cost analysis to determine profit.
On Tuesday the students catered for ARH's Diabetic Health Fair at The Ramada Inn. Wednesday was a meal prepared for our BARR program and additional staff. Finally, Thursday was a meal prepared for a support group program in collaboration with our JCHS YSC. In total, these these students served around 300 people!
