Members of the JCHS Apprenticeship Building America student organization met with employee coordinator and mentor Malyssa Collins. Ms. Collins coached students on proper presentation, interview proficiency, and other necessary workforce skills. ABA is a grant funded through the Department of Labor. Johnson Central is one of 6 schools in KY to receive this $200,000 plus grant. The primary goal of the grant is to help high school students obtain paid apprenticeships in order to earn industry certifications and foster postsecondary success. As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we were so pleased to have Ms. Collins travel from Louisville to meet with our kids!
